Getting the right answers to life's greatest challenges requires asking the right questions. Too often asking impulsive questions leads to impulsive answers; answers that may easily gain validation from Christian friends but are not Biblically founded.
The question I have asked most of my life is "What is God's will or purpose for my life". The error lies in the focus of the question; "Me". Lately, I have begun asking a different question. Although it may only appear as a simple semantic difference, it has made a significant difference in outcome (e.g., peace of mind and joy). I have now begun asking, "What is God doing in the people around me and how can I be part of His plan?"
The question changes my focus and puts me in the present. I now focus on the person in front of me and ask God what He is up to? God is always working in everyone's life, all the time. It can be a great ride!
